- Nylon carries higher loads and absorbs shock better, so it suits heavily loaded bushes and wear pads. Acetal is dimensionally stable and lower friction, which makes it the better choice for precision moving parts.
- What is the maximum operating temperature for nylon?
- Cast nylon runs continuously to around 100°C, with short-term excursions higher. Above that, PTFE or a filled grade is the safer specification.
